I’m just in time to post this, thank the goddesses I did a final rss feed check of the (many) blogs I read before bed and Claire had updated her musical Monday post, or I would have missed it! I went to Scotland for a week, but ended up changing my flight home and stayed for 2, then I was Ill for a week (wonderful aeroplane germs, thanks Easyjet!) and I’m still feeling pretty dodgy, but will soldier on as the interweb needs me. :p

This song has a kind of double meaning for me. My sister in law adores this artist and played it non-stop on our last trip to Australia, so initially it reminds me of hot sticky nights in Perth, sitting round on the patio drinking beer and wine with good company and my favourite people in the world. The whole album “The Sound of White” just gives me such a good feeling, it’s one of those albums that I’ve listened to so much that when I listen to any song from it, I automatically start humming the next one on the album. This song also makes me a little sad as it reminds me of Colin, as not long after he died I went through a phaze of listening to one playlist late at night while trying to pretend I was human and normal, and this was one of the songs on it. It’s Missy Higgins - The Special Two.

We’re off to the land of square sausages and decent patter for a week.
I’ll try and do a musical monday post, but am not holding out much hope for my mums ancient dial up getting much on youtube!
